Contributor's comments: People in Perth further abbreviate it to "The sunday Sess" - as a newcomer from QLD I hadn't the slightest idea what they were talking about! The most common was the "Sunday Sess at the Obie" - which if you were in the know meant the OBH or Ocean Beach Hotel, Cottesloe - but was incomprehensible to me!
Contributor's comments: In Townsville, the word "session" had a specific reference to those hours pubs were allowed to be open on Saturday and Sunday. The after noon "session" was - as I recall - between 12 and 2:30pm.
Contributor's comments: A Sunday session means going to a pub that sells cheap drinks on a Sunday afternoon. An extended version of the Happy Hour.
