Contributor's comments: In Tasmania the "nature strip" more usually is a divider between lanes, rather than at the edge of the road, although I may have heard both usages.

Contributor's comments: We [Sydney informant] always referred to the 'Nature Strip' as the strip of grass down the middle of a divided road (had grass or trees growing on it).

Contributor's comments: Nature strip is also used in some parts of NSW, such as the Southern Highlands.
