Contributor's comments: Someone with a 'probationary licence' is always referred to as a 'P-plater'.

Contributor's comments: It's actually called "provisional" license in Adelaide. "Probationary" licenses don't exist, unless perhaps you're on probation after getting your license suspended, but that's just idle speculation.

Contributor's comments: Also known as," being on your 'P' Plates".

Contributor's comments: My son is on his "P's" but hates to display them on his car.
