Contributor's comments: I had forgotten this one, I haven't heard it since I was at school in Brisbane in the 1960's.
Contributor's comments: I believe this usage was standard where I grew up in Central Victoria, Mallee and Melbourne in the 50s, 60s & early 70s. When I moved to Queensland I was continually misunderstood when I said I'd do something "tonight", meaning after work, until I finally gave up using it. I understand it is also used in parts of Britain.
