Contributor's comments: Yes! The words Stem and Stemmy were used as very derogatory words which I understood to mean a penis but their connotation and power were far greater.
Contributor's comments: (origin - Broken Hill NSW) an unflattering term. Something akin to 'dickhead': "What a stemmy!"
